Context
Quark is a gamified platform focused on developing soft skills in young people. Its experience combines skills mapping, content tracks and certifications, using microlearning, quizzes, videos and gamified challenges.
- 50k+ students
- 80k+ certificates
- 160k+ hours of content
- 100+ cities
My role
When I joined the project, the platform was already established. My work didn't start by discovering a problem from scratch, but by continuously evolving experiences that were already part of the product.
I worked mainly on evolving the student experience, across different moments of the journey:
- Content tracks
- Quizzes
- New content formats
- Visual elements: mascot, medals, trophies and badges

Inside the platform
Content tracks
Tracks are a central part of the Quark journey: that's where students access content aimed at developing different skills.
One of the key concerns was making the journey visually easy to follow
Where am I? → What do I need to do? → What have I finished? → What comes next?

Inside the platform
Visual elements
Not every product improvement happens on a whole screen. During the project, I also designed elements such as:
Medals · Trophies · Badges · Certificates
These elements did more than look good: they marked moments of achievement, completion and progress within the experience.

Quark was my first job and my first time doing Product Design on an established digital product.
It's where I learned, in practice, that designing also means evolving what already exists.
